Our Staff is committed to achieving excellence in teaching and learning, and undertakes regular Professional Development to keep abreast of current educational trends including the implementation of the Australian Curriculum.
Our primary school programme aims at the growth and development of the total person. The school includes in its goals, not only the development of knowledge, but also the spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional skills and values necessary for participation and leadership in a rapidly changing world.
Learning Areas covered each year include:
- Religious Education
- The Arts (Music, Drama, Dance, Visual Arts & Media)
- LOTE (Year 6)
- Health & Physical Education
An emphasis is placed on Numeracy and Literacy and effort is made to cater for individual differences and specific learning needs with the help of a full time Learning Support Teacher and School Officers.
Special targeted Literacy and Numeracy programmes are run throughout the school, including Role M Mathematics and Rainbow Reading.
