Good Counsel Primary School(GCPS) curriculum is informed by both the Australian Curriculum (ACARA https://v9.australiancurriculum.edu.au/ ) which sets the expectations for what all young Australians should be taught, regardless of where they live in Australia or their background and also the Diocesan Learning Framework ( https://www.cns.catholic.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Learning-Framework.pdf), which aims to enhance the wellbeing and learning for all students. Curriculum development is an ongoing process at GCPS based on upskilling teachers on current best practice and engaging with both internal and external providers to develop teaching skills and deliver high quality content to our students.
Our staff are committed to the development of the whole child not only in the areas of academic knowledge, but also in building spiritual, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional skills and values necessary for participation and leadership in a rapidly changing world. At GCPS, students are seen as individuals, and it is the role of our teachers to make a difference for each and every student.
