In 1993, the Good Counsel Parish Schools’ Combined Board was established to support both Good Counsel Primary School and Good Counsel College, based on the model of the Queensland Catholic Education Board. Over the years, the Board has expanded to encompass St Rita’s School South Johnstone, St John’s Silkwood & St Rita’s Babinda.
The Board is comprised of:
- The five Principals of the schools and Parish Priest as ex officio members
- Chair person
- One parent from each school’s parent body
- Minutes’ Secretary
It is the Mission of Good Counsel Parish Schools’ Combined Board to adopt policies based on Gospel Values and to support Principals to ensure that our schools will be truly Catholic.
